About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior SMO Recruitment Advisor to join our team in Tairawhiti. In this permanent, full-time position, you will play a vital role in recruiting Senior Medical Officers and directly contribute to achieving national health targets. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic and operational recruitment guidance to people leaders, ensuring a candidate-focused recruitment process, and delivering seamless experiences for both candidates and hiring managers. As part of your role, you will mentor junior team members and lead specific projects and recruitment events. This position is particularly suited for someone who thrives during times of change and transformation, as we are currently shaping a new organizational culture that values innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in healthcare. Key Responsibilities - Manage the full recruitment process for all Senior Medical Officers, from sourcing to offer acceptance. - Collaborate closely with clinicians to fully understand the vacancies being recruited. - Deliver recruitment services that are aligned with our workforce strategies. - Provide expert advice on candidate sourcing and attraction strategies. - Coach hiring managers on best practices in recruitment and assessment methods. - Ensure timely and effective communication and support for candidates throughout the recruitment process. - Participate in health sector employment initiatives and recruitment events. - Engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders through face-to-face communication. - Utilize social media platforms strategically for recruitment and employer branding. About the Team/Service/Location Our recruitment team in Tairawhiti is dedicated to attracting top talent for Senior Medical Officer positions. As part of Health New Zealand, we play an essential role in supporting national health objectives while operating in a region known for its strong community ties and unique cultural identity. About You To excel in this role, you will possess: - A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a senior recruitment or talent role. - At least five years of relevant experience in an advisory recruitment position. - Familiarity with New Zealand legislation and its application within a large, complex organization. - Preferred experience in the public health sector. - Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders. - A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
