About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of gib stopping and plastering on residential projects. We are looking for someone with a minimum of three years of relevant experience who takes pride in their work and is committed to achieving high-quality finishes. You will have the opportunity to work independently or as part of our supportive team, contributing to the successful completion of our residential builds.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in gib stopping or plastering
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes
- Reliability, motivation, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Own tools and reliable transport
Key Responsibilities
- Apply joint tape and compound to plasterboard seams
- Fill screw holes, joints, corners, and surface imperfections
- Sand surfaces to achieve a smooth, even finish
- Apply multiple coats of compound as required
- Prepare surfaces to a paint-ready standard while following correct drying and curing times
- Perform occasional ornamental plasterwork or repair work
