About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity available in our Radiology department at Wairau Hospital. Our department provides a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service, which includes General Radiography, CT Scanning, Ultrasound, and Mammography.
This position is permanent part-time, with a commitment of 0.8 FTE, equating to 64 hours per fortnight. The salary range for Medical Imaging Technologists working full-time (40 hours per week) is between $70,842 and $103,000, depending on your skills, experience, and registration in New Zealand, as per the current Medical Imaging Technologists Collective Agreement.
Requirements
We are looking for applicants who are registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
The ideal candidate will be a positive, friendly, and supportive team player with a good sense of humor. You should possess:
- Sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography
- Well-developed communication skills and empathy
- A passion for delivering high-quality healthcare
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including on-call shifts
On-call duties will be required from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM on rostered and rotating shifts, seven days a week.
Additionally, candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of application.
