About the Role We are excited to offer a full-time position for a Maintenance Person at Jean Sandel Retirement Village in New Plymouth. This role requires working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. In this position, you will be an essential part of our team, providing effective maintenance and preventative maintenance services to ensure the safety, repair, and appearance of our buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds. You will assist residents with repairs and maintenance in their homes, while ensuring that all health and safety policies are followed for the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. Collaboration with colleagues will be key to your success in this role. About You To excel in this dynamic environment, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Previous experience in a maintenance role, a trade qualification, or completion of an apprenticeship - Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and a positive can-do attitude - Proven customer service experience with the ability to build rapport with residents - Outstanding communication skills - The ability to work both in a team environment and independently as needed - A reliable, friendly, and professional demeanor Please note that while we do welcome applications from overseas candidates, applicants must have New Zealand work rights due to immigration requirements for this position.
