About the Role
We are currently seeking Process Workers to join our team at ANZCO Foods Eltham for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 season, starting in October. While relevant experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory as we provide comprehensive training for all new employees. These positions are available for both day and night shifts.
Located on Ferry Road in Eltham, our roles require applicants to be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays. The positions are full-time, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, guaranteeing a minimum weekly wage of $705.00, with opportunities to earn more through allowances and piece rates. Please note that hours may exceed 30 per week depending on workflow, given the seasonal nature of our business and annual shutdown periods.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Process Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Performing yard duties and handling livestock
- Processing meat carcasses according to customer specifications
- Separating organs and glands from carcasses using safe knife handling practices
- Operating machinery to process, pack, and transfer carcasses or products
- Packing boned meat and meat products into cartons
- Moving carcasses to chillers and freezers
- Loading meat products into trucks
- Cleaning and sanitizing work equipment and areas
