About the Role We are looking for an organised and friendly individual to support our enthusiastic early childhood education team. As our Centre Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy centre. This role is perfect for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who thrives in a welcoming environment. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for our whānau and a vital team member. Your daily responsibilities will include managing bookings, responding to parent inquiries, performing accurate data entry, maintaining parent accounts, processing payments and direct debits, and ensuring all deadlines are met. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support while interacting with tamariki in our warm and friendly environment. You will receive comprehensive support from our National Admin Support Team, including access to a helpdesk and robust systems designed to set you up for success. Our detailed induction and ongoing training will equip you with the knowledge needed to meet the Ministry of Education compliance requirements confidently. This is a permanent, part-time position requiring 5 hours of work each day from Monday to Friday. We offer flexible hours, with shifts available between 7:30 am and 1:30 pm or 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. About You The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: - A natural team player with excellent communication skills - Compassionate, approachable, and supportive with whānau - Highly organised and detail-oriented - Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and general IT systems - Experienced in administrative or account processes (experience in early childhood education is a bonus) - Confident in handling customer queries and willing to go the extra mile Benefits At BestStart, we value our team members and strive to support their professional growth and wellbeing.
