About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist for our Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. In this role, you will provide specialist psychological assessments and treatment for children and young people facing moderate to severe mental health challenges. Your work will involve individual sessions, ensuring that primary caregivers are included as appropriate, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team.
You will play a key role in supporting our management team in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Strengths Model Recovery Approach within the Mental Health and Addiction Service.
About the Team/Service/Location
This position is part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, located on the hospital campus on High Street. Our team consists of a small group of part-time psychologists dedicated to providing assessments and therapy for children and youth. We pride ourselves on a strong multi-disciplinary approach that enables holistic care and support. Additionally, we maintain strong relationships with schools, non-government organizations, and community services to enhance our support network.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting comprehensive assessments, including psychometric and neuropsychological evaluations. You should be skilled in developing clinical formulations and providing recommendations for effective interventions. Furthermore, you will need to establish methods for evaluating the efficacy of the treatments provided.
This opportunity is open to registered New Zealand Clinical Psychologists who hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).

Salary Range
This role is governed by the terms and conditions of a Collective Agreement, and the salary will be determined according to the Pay Scale based on relevant experience.
