About the Company At New World Kaikoura, we take pride in providing our community with high-quality products and exceptional customer service. Our dedicated team is passionate about what they do, and we are looking for a qualified Baker to join us in delivering the best bakery experience to our customers. About the Role We currently have an opening for a Qualified Baker on a permanent full-time basis. The specific days of work can be negotiated, but this role will include at least one weekend day. As a Baker, your daily tasks will include: - Producing a diverse range of high-quality bakery products - Ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety standards - Delivering exceptional customer service - Merchandising all products to a high standard - Operating and maintaining all bakery equipment effectively - Cultivating positive working relationships within the bakery team and the broader New World Kaikoura team Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes: - A minimum of two years of experience or equivalent to the New Zealand Certificate in Baking - The ability to work well in a team as well as independently within required timeframes - Initiative and a proactive approach to tasks - Honesty and reliability - Physical fitness, as the role involves being on your feet for extended periods - A good sense of humor and a positive attitude - A passion for providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile for our customers - Enjoyment of early starts - Strong presentation skills and attention to detail Please note that our busiest periods include long weekends, public holidays, and the summer holiday season.
