Experienced Excavator Operator

About the Company We are currently seeking experienced excavator operators for our client, who is looking to fill these positions as soon as possible. This opportunity offers a chance to work on an ongoing project in Warkworth, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in civil construction. About the Role The project is set to last for a couple of months, and we are looking for operators who are skilled in working with 14-30 tonne excavators. The role involves carrying out bulk earthworks, trenching, and site cuts. Operators will be responsible for loading trucks, moving materials efficiently, and ensuring safe and accurate operation of machinery around services and other workers. Proficiency in GPS machine control for detailed excavation and final trim work is essential. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours that require flexibility between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Please note that there will be a shutdown period from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026. The pay rate is negotiable, starting at $40 per hour, based on experience. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements: - Proven experience as an excavator operator in civil construction - Confidence and competence in GPS operation - Ability to read plans and follow site instructions - Strong understanding of site safety, along with good communication skills Successful applicants must also: - Hold valid tickets to operate excavators - Have reliable transport - Pass a pre-employment drug test - Return a clean criminal background check Benefits We encourage interested candidates to apply now by submitting their current CV.
