About the Role
We are currently seeking a Delivery Manager - Design & Estimation to join our Contracting Division based in New Plymouth. In this role, you will lead our Design Engineering team, ensuring that all designs comply with PowerCo standards while promoting productivity across multiple projects. You will collaborate closely with Design Engineers and external stakeholders to achieve excellent project results and foster strong relationships with key partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the Design and Estimation team, managing tender and design work on PowerCo's network.
- Providing expertise in line design and estimation to your team.
- Ensuring adherence to Northpower, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Building and maintaining robust relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Leading team development through mentorship and effective communication.
- Identifying opportunities for business improvement and enhancing safety practices.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong leadership skills and expertise in design and estimation. You will have:
- A Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or an Electrical Diploma, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading a Design Engineering team in electrical distribution networks.
- Hands-on experience with line design software such as Naera, Coldnet, and Catan.
- Proven leadership abilities in a multicultural environment, with strong team management skills.
- The capacity to anticipate challenges, solve problems effectively, and influence positive outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer focus.
