As we expand, we are looking for Construction Technicians to join our team and assist with various projects across the country.
About the Role
As a Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in our operations by performing tasks that align with your skills and capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Complying with all aspects of contracts, projects, or tasks to ensure customer satisfaction that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Creating structures, forms, or chutes, and pouring concrete.
- Covering subfloors with building paper to prevent moisture intrusion and laying hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors.
- Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard, followed by sanding using appropriate tools.
- Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms with various tools.
- Performing general labor tasks, including cleaning construction sites as needed.
- Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools, and equipment, and transporting them around job sites.
- Completing any other duties as assigned.
Pay Conditions
The hourly pay for this position ranges from a minimum of $25.00 to a maximum of $32.00.
Hours of Work
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Some experience in the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic are crucial.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- A sound understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Location
This role may require you to work in various locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
