Our team plays a crucial role in helping our clients maintain their apple orchards to the highest industry standards. We are currently looking for several Orchard Hands to join us for seasonal work. About the Role As an Orchard Hand, you will be involved in various tasks essential to the upkeep and productivity of apple orchards. Your key responsibilities will include apple pruning, which may require climbing ladders, as well as general orchard tasks such as picking, packing, thinning, and maintenance. You will also have the opportunity to operate machinery, including driving tractors and using hydraladas. Candidates who demonstrate strong capabilities may be considered for supervisory roles. Requirements To qualify for this position, you must possess the following: - Valid right to work in New Zealand, such as a visa, citizenship, or residency. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship or support for overseas applicants. - Reliable transport and a valid driver’s license. - Physical fitness to carry out outdoor manual work. - A commitment to strict adherence to health and safety regulations. - Reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation are essential; we have a no-tolerance policy for no-shows or last-minute cancellations. - A cooperative attitude as a team player. - Flexibility to work varied hours as needed. - Previous experience in an orchard setting is preferred, but we are open to motivated beginners. - Availability for the entire seasonal term is a must.
