About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Cellar Hand to join our team at Selaks Winery. In this role, you will report directly to the Production Leader and work in the cellar where our award-winning wines are crafted. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with safety procedures, overseeing harvest operations, and assisting with various cellar operations, including blending, fining, clarification, preparation, and dispatch. Key Responsibilities - Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). - Supervise and assist with harvest operations, including crushing and pressing. - Support cellar operations by contributing to blending, fining, clarification, preparation, and dispatch tasks. Your Grape Qualities To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - A minimum of three years of experience working in a winery, including during harvest. - A reasonable level of physical fitness, as the harvest period requires 12-hour shifts, six days a week. - A current driver’s license; forklift certification is preferred. - A practical problem-solving approach and a can-do attitude.
