About the Role As the primary representative of Kennards Hire to our customers, you will receive comprehensive training and development to help you succeed. The Service Person Driver position is a crucial link between our branches and our customers, responsible for providing expert advice, managing equipment pickups and deliveries, and ensuring that our equipment is always ready for hire. In this role, you will: - Instruct and demonstrate the safe use of our equipment to customers. - Perform equipment pickups and deliveries, including safe loading and unloading. - Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions. - Maintain high standards of equipment quality through regular servicing and minor repairs. - Clean branch facilities and perform maintenance on equipment as needed. - Conduct equipment check-in and check-out inspections. About You We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including customer service, construction, hospitality, retail, driving, landscaping, and trade. To be successful, you will need: - A valid driver's license. - Availability to work weekends on a rotating roster. - A level of physical fitness for tasks that include lifting and standing for extended periods. - Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning. - An interest in machinery and equipment, with training provided. - A positive team player mentality. Salary Breakdown The compensation package includes a base salary of $58,500, with a potential profit share of up to $4,000, and a weekend allowance of $2,340, in addition to Kiwisaver contributions. The profit share bonus is variable and paid biannually, while the weekend allowance is based on the number of weekend days worked.
