About the Role
We are seeking a People and Culture (PC) Administrator who will play a crucial role within our Enabling Services team. This position supports the largest workforce in the Te Waipounamu South Island, ensuring that our staff receive their entitlements accurately and on time. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment while keeping our customers at the forefront of everything we do.
In this role, you will work closely with our Payroll, Rostering, Employment Agreement Implementation, and HR Helpdesk teams. The responsibilities will include:
- Processing entitlements and contractual changes
- Onboarding and offboarding staff
- Ensuring compliance with Visa, Ministry of Justice, and Children’s Worker Safety Checks
- Performing data entry and updating our HR/Payroll systems
- Managing electronic documents and maintaining accurate records
- Upholding compliance with employment agreements and legislation
- Handling a high-volume workload within strict processing timeframes
- Educating colleagues and external customers on administration processes
- Maintaining confidentiality and following established approval chains
This position is based in our Corporate office in central Otautahi Christchurch. In line with the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement, this role has been assigned to National Band 3 / Profile 3C. The PC Administration team is dedicated to supporting our leaders and staff throughout the employee lifecycle by providing exceptional customer service and managing various administrative tasks. Your skills should include:
- Experience in customer service within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple conflicting demands
- HR administration and/or Payroll knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency, with the ability to navigate different systems effectively
- Accurate typing and data entry abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a changing environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to remain calm under pressure while meeting deadlines
