About the Role
We are excited to announce a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join our team as an Advanced Pharmacist for Renal and Respiratory. This role involves 40 hours of work per week with a competitive salary range of $111,240 to $117,420.
Wellington Regional Hospital offers specialist services for patients with renal and respiratory conditions across the Central Region. In this position, you will provide clinical pharmacy services to both the Renal and Respiratory Services, in addition to participating in our team’s dispensary cover once a week.
While we prefer applicants with clinical pharmacy experience, knowledge, and skills in Renal and/or Respiratory settings, we are open to training a suitable candidate. Experience in hospital pharmacy within New Zealand is highly desirable.
About the Team/Service Location
Our pharmacy team enjoys a strong reputation among clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management throughout the organization. We are continually seeking ways to enhance the services and care we provide. Our comprehensive pharmacy service extends across the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes clinical services, dispensary logistics, and quality risk services. Additionally, we operate an aseptic production service at Capital Coast Hospitals (Wellington Kenepuru). Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply, and distribution of medicines across the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams prioritize professional growth and emphasize clinical development and medication optimization for our patients.
About You
We encourage applications from experienced hospital pharmacists looking to advance their careers, especially those with prior experience in renal or respiratory settings. You should be self-motivated, possess broad clinical experience, and be capable of working autonomously and innovatively. Strong interpersonal skills will enable you to foster good working relationships with the multidisciplinary team. It is essential that you are registered as a pharmacist in New Zealand with a valid APC or are eligible to register.
