About the Role
We are looking for a technically skilled Data Interpretation Technician to join our Production and Labs Operation team at our central office in Dunedin. In this role, you will support the Data Interpretation team by analyzing complex sample data. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data, who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical investigations of chemical data for Oritain's clients.
- Analyze and interpret data collected from various products for our clients.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in data interpretation.
- Produce detailed reports summarizing findings from data analyses.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing data analysis processes and systems through continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- A professional qualification, such as a BSc or MSc in a science-related field (e.g., chemistry, food science, materials science), is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a commercial environment.
- Comfort with numerical analysis and technology, with experience in data-driven decision-making techniques and investigations using R-studio.
- A solid understanding of basic statistical modeling and data interpretation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new internal systems.
- Eager to learn and explore new tools or methods to improve data processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a natural analytical mindset.
- A proactive problem-solver with outstanding written and verbal English skills.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
