About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable cleaner to join our dedicated team at a school located between Paeroa and Thames. This position offers a friendly working environment with supportive school staff and is perfect for those seeking a good work-life balance. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 2:45 PM to 5:45 PM. As a cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Vacuuming classrooms and shared spaces - Mopping floors and hallways - Cleaning and restocking toilets - Emptying bins and removing rubbish - Wiping down desks, surfaces, and high-touch areas - Replenishing cleaning supplies as needed - Reporting any maintenance or safety issues - Following all health and safety procedures Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities: - Reliability and punctuality, along with a strong work ethic - Ability to work independently and follow instructions - Physical fitness and comfort with manual tasks - Good attention to detail - Previous cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential - Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice criminal record check - Availability to work Monday to Friday, 2:45 PM to 5:45 PM Please note that this role is subject to pre-employment checks, and a clean criminal record is required for final appointment.
