About the Role
We invite you to join our Adult Mental Health teams within our community. We currently have vacancies for full-time or part-time positions, available on either a permanent or fixed-term basis. Our Mental Health, Addiction, and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) serves the lower North Island, including Wairarapa, Hutt Valley, and Capital and Coast, offering both local and regional services.
Our adult community mental health services cater to individuals aged 18 to 65 who experience moderate to severe mental health challenges. We provide a blend of rural and urban services, each tailored to the unique characteristics of the communities we support. Working within multidisciplinary teams comprising psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists, we are dedicated to delivering high standards of care to our adult patients. We also strive to maintain a supportive and flexible working environment for all staff, underpinned by our commitment to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi).
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or who hold an equivalent qualification that qualifies for registration with MCNZ. You should be comfortable and adaptable in a team environment, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
