Ross Home, an integral part of the North Dunedin community, accommodates up to 124 residents requiring rest home level care. About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at Ross Home. In this role, you will utilize your practical skills and compassion to support residents in their daily activities. This includes assisting with personal care, mealtime support, and general care duties that enhance the quality of life for our residents. While this position demands hard work, it also offers immense satisfaction from making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
This is a permanent part-time position, with working hours from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM (5 hours per day) on a 4 on, 2 off rotation. Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement.
About You
We are looking for an ideal candidate who embodies the following qualities:
- Empathetic, compassionate, and patient demeanor
- Ability to work well within a team
- Enjoyment in engaging with older adults
- Physical fitness and strength
- Enthusiasm and a sense of humor
- Experience in an aged care environment is preferred
- A Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage
