About the Role
We are currently seeking a Customer/Service Person to join our team in Gisborne. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with tools and machinery, is passionate about delivering great service to customers, and is eager to develop their skills into a fulfilling career.
As a Customer/Service Person, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring our equipment is ready for hire and providing advice and support to customers both over the phone and in-branch. We provide on-the-job training and development, so prior industry experience is not necessary. What we value most is a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to be a team player.
You will also be required to drive company vehicles for occasional collections and deliveries of equipment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
- A full Class 1 driver's licence (additional classes and endorsements are advantageous)
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Availability to work a Monday to Saturday roster
- A positive can-do attitude
What You Will Learn

- How to handle phone inquiries and process customer reservations and contracts
- Guidance on selecting the right tools and machinery for various projects
- Customer service and sales experience
- Techniques for servicing a wide variety of hire plant
- Safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself and our customers
