About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Rotor Machine Operator to join our busy team. In this full-time, temp-to-perm position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure that our production processes run smoothly. We have an immediate vacancy available, and we look forward to welcoming a new member to our team.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Set up machinery for operation and monitor machines during production to ensure efficiency.
- Perform quality control checks to meet production standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair machine issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless production process.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role.
- A strong understanding of machine operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Day-to-Day Tasks
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Setting up rotor machines for production runs.
- Monitoring machine operations and addressing any issues that arise.
- Conducting quality control checks on finished products.
- Communicating with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are met.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
- Lifting 25kg bags of polymer when necessary.
Skills and Experience Required
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Prior factory or manufacturing experience.
- A proactive approach and good initiative.
- Reliable transportation.
- A mechanically-minded disposition.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Hours of Work
This position is available from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 2 PM to 12 AM.
Hourly Rate
The pay for this position is $26 per hour, plus a $1.50 per hour night allowance and an additional 8% holiday pay.
