About the Role We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure and training in various disciplines of Cardiac Ultrasound. As the largest teaching hospital in New Zealand, we provide a stimulating environment that supports professional growth. In this role, you will be involved in both outpatient and inpatient non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular investigations and treatments. Our Cardiology Department manages conditions such as acute and chronic coronary syndromes, valvular disorders, temporary and permanent pacing, arrhythmias, and heart failure. The Cardiac Investigation Unit, based at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Surgery Centre, performs a variety of procedures including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE), dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE), exercise stress echocardiograms (ESE), and contrast and bubble studies. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: - A university degree with a graduate or postgraduate qualification in cardiac ultrasound - Current registration and a practising certificate - Eligibility for registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) - A minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience - If you are coming from overseas, you will need to apply for registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
