About the Role We are seeking a senior pharmacist who is passionate about making a positive impact on patient care. In this role, you will provide strategic direction and clinical supervision to our clinical pharmacy team, which includes both pharmacists and technicians delivering clinical services on the wards. As the Clinical Pharmacy Team Lead, you will ensure the optimal use of staff and resources to deliver quality patient care. You will work closely with the Chief Pharmacist to support the development of clinical staff and with the Pharmacy Manager to meet operational service needs. As a vital member of the pharmacy leadership team, you will offer strategic leadership to clinical pharmacy services across Health New Zealand Tairawhiti hospital specialist services. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, effective role modeling, and a thorough understanding of clinical governance and legislation to enhance patient outcomes through quality improvement and service development. The successful candidate will maintain a patient-facing caseload, perform occasional dispensary duties, and participate in the on-call roster as scheduled. About You To be considered for this role, applicants must: - Be a registered pharmacist in New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate. - Be willing to participate in the on-call roster. - Overseas pharmacists may be considered if they meet the requirements to register as a pharmacist in New Zealand without needing to complete the one-year pharmacy internship.
