About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Wellington Airport Operations, in partnership with Qantas. This casual position offers flexible working hours, with shifts scheduled as needed based on business requirements.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our service culture is reflected in memorable "surprise and delight" moments for our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include basic meal preparation, restocking supplies, providing a warm and professional style of service, and maintaining cleanliness in both the kitchen and front-of-house areas.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be a team player who can also work independently. Previous experience in a similar position is essential. We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Physical fitness and reliability are important, and holding NZQA Food Handling certificates (Units 167 & 168) is preferred. A commitment to health and safety practices is also critical.
