    Description

About the Company The Warehouse has been a cornerstone of the New Zealand retail landscape since its inception in 1982 by Sir Stephen Tindall. Our brand, known for its distinctive ‘red shed’, has consistently challenged traditional retail norms and has won the hearts of customers with its straightforward style and extensive range of affordable products. As a recognized Kiwi household name, we take pride in our significant role within communities across New Zealand. In addition, since 1991, Warehouse Stationery has been at the forefront of innovation in the stationery retail sector. We have seamlessly integrated portions of this business into our stores as a ‘Store within a Store’ (SWAS), offering our customers a comprehensive solution for their personal, household, and office needs all in one location. About the Role We are currently seeking a SWAS Trading Manager who will oversee the Stationery shop floor area, including the print and copy center, as well as the Entertainment and Technology section of The Warehouse. In this leadership role, you will guide your teams to uphold our merchandising standards and execute our trading plans effectively. Your responsibilities will include the implementation and maintenance of planograms, ensuring pricing accuracy, and meeting product availability expectations. Additionally, you will support the opening and closing of the store and may be required to take sole charge of the entire store when necessary. This position requires a commitment of 45 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from Tuesday 12 PM to 9:30 PM and Wednesday through Saturday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Requirements To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Proven leadership experience with a track record of success - Strong ability to interpret and execute plans, along with a keen eye for detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences, fostering an engaged team, and driving store profitability. Benefits While we can elaborate on our additional leave options, wellness programs, and an array of discounts, what truly sets us apart is the trust, support, and flexibility we offer within our team. We provide a structured framework to help you achieve your goals, while also granting you the autonomy to create meaningful impacts in your store. We look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to excellence and community engagement.
