About the Role
We are seeking a professional leader for the occupational therapy workforce across our district, based in either Invercargill or Dunedin. This permanent position offers 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) and a salary range of $117,420 to $122,570 per annum, pro-rata, along with Kiwisaver benefits.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and governance to ensure excellence in practice and conduct within the occupational therapy field. You will play a key role in developing new models of care and contribute to workforce planning and development for occupational therapy services.
As a Professional Leader, you will be expected to:
- Engage in strategic thinking to foster innovation and creativity within the profession
- Oversee the credentialing of the occupational therapy workforce
- Facilitate intersectoral collaboration and clinical partnerships
We prefer that our professional leads concurrently hold a clinical role to enhance their leadership effectiveness.

Salary Range
This position is part of the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement. The salary falls between designated B step 1 at $117,420 per annum and step 3 at $122,570 per annum, pro-rata, according to the Technical, Designated Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
