About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team on the day shift, following the retirement of a valued team member. In this role, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for promptly addressing all breakdowns. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all plant and machinery are maintained effectively, enabling us to meet production demands while minimizing downtime.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Trade Certificate Level 4 in Fitting and Turning or a Maintenance Diagnostics qualification (or equivalent)
- A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
- A proactive approach with a natural instinct for troubleshooting and improvement
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player mentality
- Immediate full New Zealand work rights (resident, citizen, or open visa)
