About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Islington for a temp-to-perm opportunity. In this position, you will work in refrigerated and frozen environments, contributing to a close-knit team that values hard work and camaraderie.
Your responsibilities will include picking, loading, and unloading linehaul trucks using a counterbalance forklift. This role involves heavy lifting and requires a commitment to safety and efficiency. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with alternate Sundays from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current OSH Certificate
- Physical fitness and strength to handle lifting weights between 15-25 kg
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift, specifically for loading and unloading inter-island linehaul hard sider trucks while adhering to weight distribution requirements
- Previous warehousing experience, preferably in food distribution or cold environments
