About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a key role within our feed manufacturing process. This position involves ensuring that our products are produced, packaged, and delivered to the highest standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with a small, supportive team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for operating feed mill machinery, including equipment for pallet-making. Your daily tasks will include loading and unloading feed, hay, and raw materials, as well as packing, labeling, and preparing 20kg bags of feed for dispatch. You will also operate forklifts, conduct warehouse duties, and perform quality control checks to maintain our standards. Keeping a clean and safe working environment is essential.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who are physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting. Previous experience in agri-manufacturing is a plus, as is forklift experience (a license or the willingness to obtain one). We value reliability, hard work, and attention to detail. A forward-thinking mindset, with a proactive approach to tasks, is important. Experience in agriculture, feed production, or machinery operation will be advantageous. Being a strong team player with a positive attitude is essential for success in our team.
Hours and Location
This position is based in Ashburton. Production hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a work week comprising 25-40 hours, depending on production demands.
