Laundry Assistants - Commercial Laundry

Our commitment to quality and efficiency ensures that our clients receive the best possible service. About the Role We are seeking dedicated Laundry Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will play an essential part in receiving and processing laundry items. This is a full-time position with over 30 hours of work per week, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $24.00 to $30.00. As a Laundry Assistant, your responsibilities will include sorting, cleaning, ironing, folding, and packaging linen and various garments in our commercial laundry facility. You will work collaboratively as part of our team to maintain quality standards, adhere to timeframes, and ensure the optimal operation of our laundry machinery. Key Responsibilities Your daily tasks will involve: - Inspecting items prior to washing for any damage or stains. - Utilizing water and chemicals to treat stains before processing. - Sorting items based on color, size, and fabric type. - Loading and unloading items into washing machines and setting the appropriate washing programs and controls. - Delivering laundered items back to customers, which includes preparing, loading, and unloading deliveries. - Maintaining a clean and organized work area, which involves cleaning filters on dryers as directed, wiping down and organizing benches and machines, as well as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors. We require our Laundry Assistants to be physically capable of lifting up to 20 kilograms of laundry and pushing heavy bags. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating records of laundry items.
