About the Role
We are seeking a General Manager of Finance & Legal to join our Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our CEO and Board, influencing key areas such as financial leadership, project management, legal and risk oversight, and governance. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding these teams effectively.
We are looking for a confident yet grounded leader who possesses a strong sense of presence without ego. You should lead with humility and understand that successful outcomes are achieved through trust, sound judgment, and empowering teams. This role requires a balance between strategic thinking and practical execution, providing clarity and stability as we work towards our goals with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in finance, legal, risk, governance, project management, and corporate services.
- Ensure prudent, transparent, and future-focused management of levy funds.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, trust, and accountability.
- Oversee legal compliance, contract management, and corporate risk frameworks.
- Strengthen governance practices, board processes, and organizational assurance.
- Champion continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Model values-based leadership and contribute positively to our organizational culture.
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified with significant experience in senior financial leadership.
- Demonstrated capability in legal, compliance, and risk management.
- Proven experience working at an executive level with Boards and Committees.
- Strong strategic and commercial judgment with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- A people-first leader who builds trust, invites input, and fosters the development of others.
- Clear and confident communicator, adept at connecting with diverse stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in or understanding of the agribusiness and pastoral sector.
- Strong personal integrity and a commitment to long-term organizational success.
