About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Cardiac Sonographer to join our Cardiology team in Te Tai Tokerau. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving Cardiology service in a beautiful region that combines work, relaxation, and recreational activities.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Performing high-quality, timely, and appropriate echocardiograms.
- Participating in a comprehensive, efficient Cardiac Echocardiography service for Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, which may involve travel to peripheral hospitals.
- Functioning as an autonomous practitioner, capable of high-level and accurate reporting of echocardiography studies.
- Ideally possessing the ability to conduct both adult and pediatric studies, as well as experience in transoesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography.
- Contributing to and leading the ongoing education and development of fellow team members.

About You
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A recognized and accredited academic qualification.
- New Zealand professional registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board or accreditation from the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Board.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A willingness to travel.
- A current driving license.
