Our team is known for its extensive knowledge and expertise in red meat processing, and we are currently seeking to expand our workforce with the addition of a Slaughter Board Supervisor.
About the Role
We are looking for a Slaughter Board Supervisor to join our Southland-based operation. In this permanent position, you will report directly to the Departmental Manager (Slaughter Manager). We have successfully filled multiple supervisor roles and are now seeking a candidate who can enhance our productivity, efficiency, and workplace culture.
This is a day shift role, with working hours from 6 am to 5 pm, amounting to approximately 45-50 hours per week.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in red meat slaughter.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large, high-intensity, and seasonal production teams.
- Strong communication skills, both upwards and downwards within reporting lines.
- Experience in industry training, mentoring, and upskilling team members.
- Familiarity with delivering and training on production KPIs in red meat processing.
- A track record of success in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Must have immediate eligibility to work in New Zealand.
