Fitter/ Maintenance Worker

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Petone. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued functionality of our treatment plant. Your responsibilities will include responding to breakdowns and addressing process issues, all while collaborating with operators, technicians, and engineers. You will also be tasked with identifying wear and tear on equipment and implementing preventative measures to avoid potential failures. Key Responsibilities - Respond promptly to breakdowns and process issues to ensure the treatment plant remains operational. - Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and enhance processes. - Monitor for signs of wear and tear, addressing issues proactively before they escalate. - Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on water treatment equipment. - Implement preventative measures and conduct repairs to improve equipment efficiency. - Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when handling hazardous materials and equipment. - Accurately document maintenance activities and report on equipment performance. - Utilize basic computer skills for data entry, managing maintenance schedules, and accessing equipment information. - Be prepared for physical work, including lifting and managing various working environments.
