Description
About the Company
At Miranda Smith Homecare, we are proud to be the first independently owned private homecare agency in New Zealand. Our mission is to provide exceptional support to our clients and their families in the comfort of their own homes. With a strong history of delivering high-quality care, we continue to expand our services to meet the needs of our growing client base in Central Auckland and Herne Bay.
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate, and dedicated carers to join our team on a part-time, casual basis. This role offers the flexibility of longer shifts with reduced travel, allowing you to work around your own commitments. Our services range from companionship to palliative care, and we offer a variety of shifts to match your skill set.
As we experience an increase in clients requiring 24/7 care, we are looking for additional experienced carers who have a proven track record in supporting clients with complex care needs. Hoist experience is essential for this position. We value flexibility and require carers who are available during the week and on weekends, with the ability to start immediately. Our commitment to providing high-quality care is reflected in the kindness and compassion of our caregivers.
Requirements
We are particularly interested in candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Experience in personal cares, including showering, dressing, and grooming
- Familiarity with dementia care and palliative care
- Skills in companionship and home help, which may include light housework and meal preparation
- Recent caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred
- A clean, full New Zealand Driver's License and access to your own vehicle
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
- A clear background and criminal check
