About the Role
We have two fixed-term, full-time positions available covering parental leave in our Wahi Oranga inpatient rehabilitation unit. This unit provides a recovery-focused program designed to help individuals with mental health issues achieve fulfilling lives within their communities.
Our service operates with a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the following goals:
- Providing a safe and supportive environment for extended assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation following admission to the adult acute service.
- Teaching skills that aid in illness management and empower consumers to lead the lives they desire.
- Supporting the development of structured and meaningful routines.
- Facilitating safe discharge into community settings.
Currently, we are offering the following opportunities:
- One fixed-term, full-time position until March 30, 2026.
- One fixed-term, full-time position until April 7, 2026.

About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, holding a current APC and a mental health scope.
- Open to learning about Safewards and the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach, with training provided.
- Capable of building and nurturing meaningful relationships while treating others with respect, encouragement, and support.
- Committed to adhering to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi.
