About the Role
We are excited to announce an opening for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our organization by maximizing value-for-money, driving innovation, and enhancing outcomes through the effective coordination and management of sourcing materials and services across various business units.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and evaluating potential vendors
- Sourcing comparative quotes and managing the procurement process
- Negotiating pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules
- Maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Managing supplier databases and relevant software platforms such as Codex, Bassware, and E-Attestations
- Updating vendor details and setting up suppliers in Codex
- Maintaining and updating property portfolios in platforms like Viareport and Nomos One
- Managing bonds in the Assura platform and supporting business unit and project managers
- Initiating spend analysis and identifying cost-saving initiatives with a focus on sustainability
- Liaising with clothing and PPE suppliers and managing staff access to supplier platforms
- Upholding the company health and safety policy and promoting a safe work environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Technical qualifications or equivalent experience in procurement
- CIPS qualification or progress towards it is preferred, but not mandatory
- Sufficient technical knowledge to communicate effectively with suppliers and service providers
- Strong computer literacy and relationship management skills
- High attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starting attitude
