About the Company
At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are committed to providing exceptional healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand. Our mission is centered around the well-being of our communities, and our dedicated team is at the heart of everything we do. We value diversity and inclusivity and welcome applications from individuals of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and disabilities. As a pro-equity health organization, we focus particularly on serving Māori, Pacific Peoples, and the Disability Community.
About the Role
Our MRI department at Wellington Regional Hospital is seeking a qualified MRI MIT (MRI Diagnostic Radiographer) to join our motivated and innovative team. In this role, you will work in a collegial and supportive environment that fosters the development of your MRI skills as part of a tertiary hospital service provider.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a high-performing team that prioritizes personal development, job satisfaction, and individual growth. While the majority of your work will be conducted in the MRI department, participation in the MRI on-call roster is required. As your role progresses, you may have the option to take on some weekend shifts.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our department is equipped with two Siemens scanners, a 3T and a 1.5T, and operates a 24/7 on-call service to accommodate acute workloads. We offer a comprehensive range of tertiary scanning services, including breast biopsy, cardiac imaging, advanced neuro imaging, research, as well as paediatric, geriatric, and ICU imaging. The work is both rewarding and occasionally challenging, providing opportunities to adapt techniques that apply your skills and knowledge to achieve positive outcomes for our patients. If you have not previously worked with any of these imaging techniques, we will provide additional training and support.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and dynamic team that is growing. Our proven training program for MRI MIT trainees is well-established, and we actively encourage MIT students to spend time with us.
