Machine Operator - Porirua Landfill

We achieve this by providing effective waste and recycling solutions that make a positive impact. About the Role Our Porirua Landfill team is currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating loaders and transferring waste from the transfer station to the landfill. You will work at the landfill tip face, where you will operate multiple machines and collaborate with your teammates to push, move, and compact areas of the landfill to maximize efficiency. We are looking for candidates who are competent in excavator and dozer operation. If you have the right motivation and attitude, our in-house trainers will provide you with the necessary training to develop your skills further. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should ideally have the following qualifications and experience: - A minimum of a Class 2 license with WTR endorsements. A Class 4 license is preferred, but our trainers can assist in furthering your skills and licenses. - Proficient experience with excavators and other heavy machinery. - A few years of experience operating heavy machinery, or a strong drive and enthusiasm for long-term career opportunities. - A solid understanding of health and safety practices, with a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment so that you return home safely each night.
