We are offering a competitive salary range of $114,330 - $117,420 pro rata for this role. We are looking for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (MSK PT) who is keen to enhance their skills in advanced practice within the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy field. This position will serve as a backfill for a team member who has been seconded to other roles for up to four months.
You will join two high-performing and welcoming teams across CCHV that have established strong relationships with the Orthopaedic SMOs and services. This role plays a crucial part in achieving targets for shorter wait times for First Specialist Assessments and elective treatments. You will receive full support to work in clinics alongside both SMOs and your Advanced Clinical Practice Physiotherapy colleagues, with opportunities to engage with the Advanced Practice career framework developed by subject matter experts in this field.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our teams are divided between Capital, Coast and Hutt regions, each with different line management but working collaboratively to foster growth and expertise in this area. You will be supported by experienced team members throughout the district, while primarily being part of the Outpatient Hand Therapy and MSK ACPP Physiotherapy team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced MSK PT who ideally has a background in the public health system and is proficient in Orthopaedic/MSK assessment and treatment. Candidates should have completed postgraduate training in the MSK and Pain disciplines. We value self-starters who can adapt to changing situations and quickly assess circumstances.
You will be confident in supporting the exemplary work our team has accomplished over the past few years and should be comfortable collaborating with physiotherapists operating in advanced scopes of practice alongside the Orthopaedic surgical team. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of clinical practice, including at least two years as a physiotherapist in relevant areas.
Required qualifications include:
- Demonstrated specialist clinical skills in Orthopaedic physiotherapy
- New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification (or actively working towards one)
