About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Estimator with a strong background in tendering for projects related to roading, sealing, drainage, pavements, and similar works. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our ongoing success and work on significant civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for preparing subcontract and material inquiries, as well as reviewing quotations. You will manage project costs throughout the lifecycle, perform cost planning, and prepare bills of quantity while overseeing contract administration. It will also be your responsibility to ensure that labor and plant resources in the cost estimate align with the tender program. You will provide accurate commercial advice to Construction Managers, Project Managers, and senior management. Additionally, you will prepare commercial tenders for client submission and present commercial handover documents to the contract delivery team. Collaboration with construction teams to collect and analyze output and resource data for future tenders will also be an essential part of your role. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction field. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of seven years of experience in roads, pavements, asphalt sealing, drainage, and similar projects. Proficiency in estimation software such as CostX, Benchmark, Excel, and Candy CCS is required. You should have a proven track record of successfully estimating and winning large-scale projects, coupled with a strong understanding of engineering techniques and construction processes. The ability to manage multiple tenders or a single high-value tender efficiently is essential. You should possess skills in quantification and be familiar with standard measurement methods and contract forms. Excellent communication skills are necessary to convey information professionally and confidently. Benefits We are offering an attractive salary package ranging from $130,000 to $160,000, plus a company car, which is negotiable based on your experience.
