About the Role
In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting residents at our Community Home in Clouston Park, Upper Hutt City. Your responsibilities will include aiding residents in following care plans that promote their health and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with our Rehabilitation Team to assist residents in achieving their lifestyle goals and building community connections. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to continue your professional development by obtaining NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate levels, with the support of your manager and our Workforce Development team.
Requirements
We are looking for an ideal candidate who is passionate about supporting others and possesses strong communication skills. The following skills and experiences are highly preferred:
- At least two years of caregiving experience
- An existing Work Visa, along with two New Zealand work referees
- A current First Aid Qualification
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing at any level
- Experience working with individuals living with conditions such as Huntington's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, and brain injuries
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
