About the Role: In this role, you will be operating a range of earthmoving equipment on residential, commercial, and civil worksites. Your responsibilities will include: - Operating excavators, loaders, rollers, and related machinery - Utilizing attachments such as buckets, scoops, hammers, and blades - Conducting site preparation, trenching, leveling, and backfilling - Following site plans, markers, or verbal directions - Performing basic maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of equipment - Ensuring safe and efficient operations at all times Requirements: We are looking for experienced, practical operators who possess: - A minimum of 3 years of relevant machinery operating experience - A full NZ Class 1 driver’s license and WTR endorsements (essential) - Trade qualifications (an advantage, but not essential) - Reliable transportation - Two contactable work references - Excellent attention to safety and the ability to follow site protocols - The capability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Benefits: In return for your expertise, we offer: - A pay range of $30–$35/hr, based on experience - A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week - Weekly pay, along with all necessary PPE gear provided - A variety of job sites and long-term opportunities - Ongoing support from a dedicated local Tradestaff team Join us at Tradestaff and be part of a team that values your skills and contributions.
