About the Company
At Care on Call (NZ) Limited, we are a leading home care provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our community. We are currently expanding our team and looking for compassionate support workers to join us in providing essential care services in areas including Pukekohe, Waiau Pa, Karaka, Ramarama, Drury, Bombay, Tuakau, and Pokeno.
About the Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals in their homes, allowing them to maintain independence while receiving the care they need. We believe in matching support workers with residents close to their homes, utilizing your unique skills to meet their specific needs. We provide a comprehensive training program to help you develop your abilities and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
The responsibilities in this position may include:
- Home management
- Providing personal care
- Assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals
- Supporting clients with their daily activities
- Assisting with exercise, mobility, and medication management (with appropriate training)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
- A genuine compassion for others and a professional attitude
- A current, clean full driver's license
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
- Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 health qualification is essential; applicants without a health qualification may not be considered
- Previous experience as a caregiver or support worker with similar clients
- An energetic personality, initiative, and a good sense of humor
- Reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a caring nature
