About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled carpenter to start immediately. This role offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated and supportive team while gaining valuable experience and enhancing your skills. You will be involved in high-profile, long-term projects with reputable construction companies, ensuring that every task is completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities As a carpenter with Trade Assist, you will: - Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, foundations, and the installation of windows, doors, and other fixtures. - Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure all work aligns with specifications. - Adhere to safety standards and ensure they are met consistently on-site. - Collaborate effectively with team members, communicating clearly to complete tasks efficiently. - Work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility when required. - Occasionally work on Saturdays as needed. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a carpenter in New Zealand. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. - A full tool kit necessary for carrying out carpentry duties. - Reliable transportation and a punctual work ethic. - Site Safe certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Benefits We offer competitive pay ranging from $30 to $34 per hour, depending on your experience. Full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure your safety on the job.
