About the Role We are currently seeking a Maintenance Person to join a well-established industrial operation located in Bell Block. This role is essential in ensuring that all plant machinery, lifting gear, and tools are maintained to the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting both preventative and reactive maintenance on cranes, tools, lifting gear, and plant equipment. You will also carry out prompt repairs to minimize downtime and maintain accurate and up-to-date asset and compliance registers. Coordination of inspections, test and tagging, and external service providers is also a key aspect of the role. It is crucial that all work complies with safety standards and New Zealand legislation. You will work closely with production teams and management to plan and report on maintenance activities. Work Schedule The work schedule is flexible but structured, with hours to be agreed upon with the successful candidate. This is a full-time role based in Bell Block, New Plymouth. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have proven experience in asset, plant, or crane maintenance within an industrial environment. Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills are essential, along with a keen eye for organization and compliance in record-keeping. Familiarity with New Zealand workplace health and safety standards is required. A current driver's license is necessary, and you should be capable of working independently while making sound maintenance decisions.
