About the Role We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Brake Cable Repairer to join our busy cable manufacturing and repair team. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a practical environment. You will be engaged in a variety of tasks that involve custom fabrication, problem-solving, and applying mechanical knowledge in a specialized workshop. In this position, you will be responsible for manufacturing mechanical brake cables to specifications. This includes cutting, crimping, stripping, and assembling components. You will also read and interpret basic measurements, drawings, and instructions while ensuring the safe and responsible use of tools and machinery. Effective communication with team leaders and clients is vital, as is maintaining high-quality standards and delivering accurate workmanship. Requirements We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a mature and dependable attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. You should be physically fit, comfortable with standing, and capable of light-to-medium lifting as part of your manual work. Clear and professional communication skills are essential, allowing you to follow instructions effectively and liaise with clients when necessary. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work are also important attributes we seek. Reliability, punctuality, and consistency are key to success in this role.
