About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated leader to oversee our gardening teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services. This position requires a calm and organized approach, coupled with a hands-on leadership style. As the team leader, you will set the daily tone by effectively planning tasks, establishing clear expectations, and ensuring that your team has the necessary resources to perform their duties successfully.
Your role will involve providing steady guidance to your team, helping them navigate challenges while maintaining high standards and a strong focus on safety. You will be responsible for overseeing scheduling, managing equipment and materials, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining accurate records and timesheets. Additionally, you will support the training and development of your team, ensuring that our work consistently meets the high standards for which CORDE is known.
What You'll Bring
- A Full Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
- NZQA Certificate in Horticulture Level 4 (desirable)
- WTR endorsements, Grow Safe Certificate, STMS CAT A & B (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proven leadership experience in team management and contract delivery
