About the Role
We are currently seeking Kitchen Hands to join our team of casual staff in Whangarei and Kerikeri, Northland. This role offers the opportunity to explore different work environments with a range of shift locations. We provide flexible hours, allowing you to choose when and where you work, making it easy to balance other commitments.
As a Kitchen Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Working in kitchens at rest homes, hospitals, and retirement villages
- Taking meal orders and assisting in meal preparation
- Setting and clearing tables, as well as serving meals to residents
- Cleaning the kitchen, operating the dishwasher, and maintaining cooking utensils
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a busy commercial kitchen, preferably in hospitality or aged care
- A Food Safety Certificate (this is advantageous)
- Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills
- Access to reliable transport to travel to our clients' facilities
- A reliable and motivated attitude, with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal hygiene
